Career[edit]
Television[edit]
After completing her B.Com., Subhash wanted to pursue law but she got an offer in a play.[5] She debuted with the serial Tumhari Disha. She was noticed by Ekta Kapoor in that serial and got selected for the next serial, Karam Apna Apna[6] in which she played the central role of Gauri.[7] She has also worked in the serial Basera in which she was seen as Ketaki Sanghvi .[5] Subhash earlier appeared in the Marathi serials Char Divas Sasuche on ETV Marathi and Adhuri Ek Kahani on Zee Marathi.[8]
She later acted in Godh Bharaai in which she has a chance to play her age, but it did badly[9] and was pulled off air.[4]
She also played Rukmini in the mythological series Mahabharat.[10] She was earlier supposed to play the role of Princess Amba in the series,[11] but had to opt out of it because her prior commitments clashed with the shoot of the show.[12] Her portrayal as the primary wife of Shri Krishna in the serial; made her receive rave reviews from critics and it added to her fame and popularity.
She is currently portraying Dharma/Subhadrangi in the historical series Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. Her role is of Ashoka's mother and Bindusara's second wife.
There is some confusion made in the name of Amruta Subhash and Pallavi Subhash. They share no family relations with each other.
Films[edit]
She made her film debut in 2005 in the Marathi film Kunku Zale Vairi and was nominated for the 'Best Actress Zee Gaurav Award' for her performance in the film. In the next year she acted in another film Aaila Re!! .[13] After seven years she made a comeback to films with three Marathi projects, Atul Kale's Asa Me Tashi Tu, Tejas Deoskar's Premasutra and Gashmeer Mahajan's Dhava Dhava Khun Khun.[13]Asa Me Tashi Tu and Premasutra were romantic films. In the former she played an urban career oriented Punjabi girl for which she had to speak Marathi with a Punjabi accent[14] and a Goan catholic girl named Saniya in the latter.[15] She had shot for two films with actor Sachit Patil which did not release.[16] She also acted in a Kannada film Om with Arjun Sarja.[17][18] She was signed as the female lead for Gautham Menon's next Tamil film Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada opposite Silambarasan,[19] but couldn't continue allot bulk dates to the film and was replaced by Manjima Mohan.[20]
Modelling[edit]
Subhash is a model for many TV advertisements like Lion Date Jam, Everest Gharam Masala, Lifebouy, 3 roses and many more. She became very popular model for TV advertisements in 2012 and 13.
